This is what I think this fellow has done. It's not all that difficult to make a Police Package (9C1) Caprice into a "clone" Impala SS. Other surefire way is to get the VIN and have a dealer or a law enforcement official run it and check to see if it comes up as an Impala SS or not. I know you can tell by looking at the RPO codes in the trunk or on the door, but I can't remember the code to look for. The first thing about this car that you need to know is that it is most likely not an Impala SS. Second of all, although you don't consider yourself new to Impalas, once you've done enough reading through this forum you'll find you didn't know nearly as much as you thought. this is definitely the best place to get great Impala information. As I find out more on the car, I'll post it here.
